In the Bible, pride in relation to sin is about boasting and vanity (i.e. thinking you or your accomplishments are impressive). It isn't about submitting to a threat. Refusing to submit to a threat is not prideful, or a sin. If it were then you would have to consider it a sin for our founding fathers to refuse to submit to the British.

My point was that you were saying pride is a sin, but pride is not being shown by u/CollinsportJunkie. I think you misunderstand the meaning of pride as a sin.
