A huge. I mean huge portion of the democrat base wants to confiscate the money of billionaires. Not just tax then higher. Take it. The media owners have to know this. I'm sure they want to keep their money. Any ideas?

Because they bought the democtatic party a long time ago. Have you never noticed that "raising taxes on the rich" always ends up hitting the middle class? The middle class is the enemy of the rich,thats where the competition comes from. The poor are cheap to buy and easy to control.
