So I've been trying to keep up with everything that's been going on around the country this past week and I can deal with most everything, the BLM rhetoric, the Antifa violence, the Democrat political posturing, etc. All of these things are expected, but REALLY GOT ME PISSED is when LEOs and National Guards started to kneel with the rioters (or so-called protesters). The dude's death while tragic does not warrant such acts. Not only that, this just weakens law enforcement! WTF is going on with the cops? I have friends that are cops and they always tell me law enforcement is overwhelmingly conservative and so on. So wtf happened????

Hate to tell you but it's part of a potential coup. Mattis is actively trying to encourage military generals and members to denounce Trump and defy his orders. Seems like sides are being drawn. This doesn't represent everyone but they are trying.
Also wth happened to Mattis? He was supposed to be the tough loyal Marine brought in to get the job done for Trump! When did MadDog become a LapDog for the establishment????

I get your justification, but I do have friends who are cops, and none of them explained it to me like that so not even they see it that way. I don't know, this is just something this week that got my blood boiling. Even with all the kneeling all the nut job liberal cities are cutting to defunding their police departments.
I have heard Kurt Schlichter use the same argument in a story he was telling as it was told to him by a past CA NG aquaintance, at the end he, like I, disbelieve it entirely. You have to simply admit to yourself that there are parts and people in the military that are going to side with the leftists, literally and figuratively "taking a knee", and not just small amounts. To think otherwise is some daring mental gymnastics.
The lines are being drawn. See the big picture and plan accordingly. Personally, I am putting much more pressure on my fiance to sell off, pack up and head back down to Texas. I plan on going before its too late.
Outside of Special Ops, much of the military has been thoroughly cucked for a long time. I was in for more than 20 years, and I can't tell you how bad it got toward the end. So much SJW and other training completly unrelated to combat skills. It wouldn't surprise me if the field commanders like that NG Captain receive glowing OERs lauding their stunning and brave displays of compassion.
Just wait; once BLM and Antifa know they will kowtow, they will ratchet it up, and have them groveling more and more. Soon they will demand Soldiers lay down their arms. It will never end, until we the people revoke our consent and take back our country.
A lot of the NG are just kids, even their NCOs and Butter bars.
I like to think they kneeled just to diffuse the situation, maybe show support for the 1st... IDK
But in my day... court martial all around.
And as for the cops, I have no idea. Maybe they feel shame that one of their own "murdered" a criminal.
I really wish they had just chucked the POS in the car once he was cuffed.
if you read the report, thats exactly what they tried to do, he resisited and ended up on the ground.
