Sure, but the politics have been increasing changing the role of our military. What was meant to be a fighting force has morphed into tool for every problem from civil unrest to nation building. On top of that, instead of ensuring soldiers are all conforming to the highest standards, it appears that they are willing to dilute that in the name of diversity. Really though, what else would you expect with a 720 billion dollar government industry.
