So then if that is case......why the fuck own a gun to begin with if you cant hold it to protect yourself on your own property or property by a consenting owner when vastly outnumbered by a mob and be successful in preventing violence and loss of life and property damage without firing a shot? If that is illegal AF.....then the state is fucked up for taking away the 2nd Amendment right of the citizen and that....is illegal AF.
Don't disagree in the least, but until that's overturned, know your rights if you're going to carry. No sense in catching a sentence for something so easily avoidable.
Be smart. That guy may lose his right to own firearms because of that moment.
I think in this case, showing the gun actually caused lives NOT to be taken. It showed the mob that they were armed. And it stopped them. It could have ended very bad...but it didnt. Because of what this man did. Carry A Big Stick.
He didn't even aim it at anyone, he merely displayed it. It appears the display was more than effective. This is about taking his gun and leaving him defenseless. Drag him through the legal wringer and make him "pay for it." Ironically, that same crowd actually assaulted police officers later, no arrests were made. Fucking clown world.
It can easily be proven he had done so to protect himself or others. It wasn't without cause. But yes, generally speaking, brandishing a firearm would be illegal without context.
Talk about clown world, people are getting arrested for rioting and just releases with no bail and no charges. Someone protects themselves from a crowd of 100 people and they track him down and actually prosecute.
He is an idiot. Never brandish period
The ONLY time the weapon comes out is when your life is in danger and you are ready take one in defense. AND in California? Bad idea.
Took several high level conceal carry classes. One thing that was constantly stressed was to never unholster your firearm unless you’re already committed to shooting.
The police don't do their fucking job and then charge American citizen for doing their job for them. I'm getting a little cynical about this country lately.
Judging by his boots and truck, I'd venture to say he was the only one in the crowd who has a job.
This is wrong. There are looters, rioters, and people destroying lives and he probably felt threatened and was protecting his own.
He held a gun with intent to intimidate. Soooooo......he protected himself without firing a round?
Illegal AF. Know your rights and the law if you intend to carry. He fucked up.
Yea, specially in a cucked state like California. You can’t even protect yourself in your own home if you were burglarized.

What we think is irrelevant in court and versus the law.
yes, lets arrest people who defend themselves after a week of looting/violence........instead of the looters and mobs attacking people.

Brandishing is illegal. Even in open carry states.
Seems easy to be justified in the context here.
It can easily be proven he had done so to protect himself or others. It wasn't without cause. But yes, generally speaking, brandishing a firearm would be illegal without context.
It would be if he weren't defending himself. Fuck California. They'll find him guilty, too.

This Pede carries.
The Hollywood money won’t be bailing him out.
Of course
Must not have been his property. He coulda had it brandished, but not pointing at people and probably have been fine.
What the fuck. Absolute clown world.

I think he jumped the gun
Muzzle awareness is important in all situations. Also, Commiefornia. Its illegal to even look at an AR-15.
