I live in a dark blue region. I’m surrounded by the most abject useful idiots you can imagine. Some of them are even in my family. My last two girlfriends were leftists. Not even casual liberals, but politically minded leftists. Politics was the coup d’grâce for both of these doomed relationships.
I thought by now more people would have broken through the fog of Marxist media manipulation, but it seems like time has only had the opposite effect, hardening the resolve of anti-American freaks. I pray that this is just my perception, that I’m actually wrong, and that more and more people are beginning to appreciate just how unhinged and desperate the media, the Left and the Democrat Party have become. But I don’t get that sense at all. I don’t know who to talk or turn to, but I feel hopeless and that ultimately I’m gonna have to take up arms in a civil war to protect my family from having to live under communism. This cannot be real life. Please tell me something positive.

Many people ARE aware that the Democratic Party has gone full retard. Many people are aware that the media (most of it anyway) has turned into a propaganda machine for the Democrats. Increasing numbers of ex-liberals are getting redpilled hard and switching to Trump.
The problem is, you can't see these things because you live in, as you described it, a dark blue region. Your local news is lying to you, the people around you are one great big echo chamber that only lets you see and hear their side of the story.
You need to get out of there. I don't know how feasible it is for you to move, but pretty please with sugar, consider it. Do some traveling, visit some places, see if you can find a state or city with a healthy level of redpill. You don't have to move to a "deep red" state. Just anywhere that people aren't batshit insane and all on one side of the spectrum.

I do believe in God. Strangely, or perhaps not, I believe that Trump’s election was in some small part due to divine intervention. These past few years have made me even more religious. I study the texts just for a sense of meaning out of all of this craziness. It helps somewhat.
To the extent there are many like-minded people who live near me, they sure as heck are great at keeping a low profile. meantime, I’m over here with my Betsy Ross shirt I ordered off of Rush’s website trying to send a signal to anyone willing to receive it. I used to go to my range much more often before the fake covid scare hit, and I’ll be going back frequently again soon.

I’m already there. Though I will say that Styxhexenhammer’s recent video about not guzzling the media narrative couldn’t have come at a better time. I watch/listen to Bongino’s podcast religiously.
Don't be discouraged. People are having a hard time understanding their world because reality vs their perception of reality are out of line. They are in cognitive dissonance, in that their mind knows the truth but won't accept it, because to do so would challenge beliefs they have had for a long time if not a lifetime.
As for most pedes, we are wise enough to listen, so we know more than most.
Imagine the unity that can come when we all are made aware of the real evils in our world and unite against that as opposed to the fake evils we are sold.

I enjoyed reading your message, and I couldn’t agree more. I think what has been most upsetting has been the realization of the depravity which every person is capable of. Originally, I thought man was sinful, but I didn’t think (or didn’t want to admit) that every human being could be as evil as some of the worst despots in history. These riots, looting, etc. and the death and destruction left in their wake, it makes me nauseous. But positive, righteous Pedes like yourself fill me with pride again. The longer this goes, the more extreme it gets, the faster people's eyes are opening. Most just don't say anything about it. I don't know if this will end in civil war; but if it does, you'll find more people standing with you than you think. You are not alone.

Changing minds is a thing of the past. Yes, I know we can point to a Facebook post here, an anecdote from a brother in law there, a few tweets attacking the Left from a person who used to be all in for Leftism. Those are molecules in a drop in the bucket.
The battle lines have been drawn and except for a tiny fraction of stragglers, people aren't going to change. Especially now. Even for people who do possibly think otherwise, they won't do anything about it. Human beings hate being wrong, and they hate admitting they were wrong even more. It's one of our strongest traits as a species. Billions of people would rather go all in until the end on the wrong thing than be forced to admit they were wrong and suffer social shame. So even for those few who do jump ship to our side, a great many of them might do that in their heads, but they'll still publicly support leftism, fight for leftism, donate to leftism, make excuses for leftism, and vote for leftism. Because doing otherwise means admitting they were wrong and inviting shame and expulsion from their social group. People just don't really do that. Yes, there will always be a handful of anecdotes. But people as a group don't do that.
The lines are drawn, there isn't any movement between the two sides with any significant impact, and neither side is going to back down. We're simply not going to win this in the polling booth or on Twitter. There are in the upper tens of millions of people in this country who will never admit Leftism is wrong. No matter what we win, no matter what lawsuits we take against Twitter or Facebook, no matter what articles are published, what YouTube videos we make them watch, what talk shows say or how many times CNN and MSNBC are shown to be lying, they will never admit they were wrong. Never. They are unwinable. They are not capable of being convinced, brought to the light, made to see the truth, or brought to our side. It isn't going to happen.
Tens of millions of enemies, who are going to be right here next to us wishing us dead for as long as they live. What do we do about that? I don't know, but the answer isn't on a ballot, a TV screen, or in a Tweet.

Very well said. I imagine that one cannot and does not compromise their long held views towards the Second Amendment without doing some serious inward reflection. Hopefully that inward reflection involves a reassessment of other political ideology they’ve casually adopted, until now.
I live in MN 45 minutes from Minneapolis. I can tell you from experience the only people who are democrats are in the twin cities. Everyone outside of that bubble are hardworking RED blooded pariots.
