What steps are you taking to teach him that when leaves the home that others around him may very well have completely different educations and belief systems? I imagine someone will challenge him on "what he knows" and I worry about the cognitive dissonance that could take place if there isn't a good foundation. Genuinely curious, not trying to come across as challenging.

Not at all! It's a great question and I have to keep it in the forefront.

The advantage is being able to bring him out into the world and learn what it is like to interact in real life. He is almost 6yo and is on the autism spectrum. The last thing I want is to keep him cooped up at home and not experience the world around him. As his mom, I'll have to hold his hand but loosen the grip as time progresses. Even though we have a strong Christian community that supports and loves our family, I have friends of different walks of life and invite him to ask questions. He'll need to learn to think for himself and I just pray that he will choose the MAGA way.
