The problem is ANCHORING BIAS.

This is the scheme behind media:

  • Click bait headline with no or poor sourced materials (aka, total or mostly fiction)
  • Actual facts that should be sourced prior to publishing surface
  • (Maybe) issue a 10-word retraction; (maybe) a stealth edit.
  • The false cognitive anchor bias remains

Unfortunately, the media is using this scheme to condition and program the ANCHORING BIAS.

Example...

  • Trump said "very fine people" about racists in Charlottesville
  • Facts shows Trump categorically condemned the white supremists groups
  • (Some) media outlets report that
  • The Democrat Presidential Candidate, to this day, uses this provably false reference and the media repeats it (again) as if it were true.

This is classic Goebbels propaganda. The US Media is a LITERAL propaganda arm of the DNC. Nearly every form of their reporting (on paper, online, and te very questions they pose) are agitprop. Period.

This is the battle we fight.

thats the phrase I was trying to think of just now. People operate for decades on impressions and bad info. Twitter is founded on that, people emotionally overreacting to emotional overreactions and filling that sewer with a symphony of dumbassery
