I'm no science genius, but the entire movement against vaccines is not based on one retracted paper.

Correct. It is based on one retracted study and a lot of stupid comparisons between flawed vaccines and well-made vaccines.

How do you know which vaccines fall into either of those two categories? Doesn't the very existence of "flawed vaccines" contradict into the blanket statement we hear repeated endlessly that "vaccines are safe and effective?"

Hunting rifles are safe and effective too, unless there is a problem with the weapon or the ammunition.

Vaccines are tools. Tools sometimes break. Tools are sometimes made wrong. Tools are sometimes used wrong. Tools can maim or kill people if there is an accident, for any reason.

Does that mean we should stop using all tools?

Careful, you might pull a muscle with that kind of stretching.
