Huh, I remember hearing somewhere about a period of time in Germany where the state wanted control over how children were raised. I think it was some time between 1930 and 1945? Does this ring a bell for anyone else?
"Lebensborn" (Fount of Life). Founded 1935. Basically a hatchery of pure Aryan babies. Mothers were funded by the Nazi Gov to have as many babies as possible. No fathers around, they were largely SS who would impregnate the women. Babies then raised in communal homes. Crazy shit. Check the wiki.
