That indicates me that his head didn't hit the ground hard or at all. They seem to think the man will quickly get back on his feet. His hands might have slowed the fall. The camera filmed elsewhere giving time to the man to position his head on the ground.

Why does the cameraman (NPR logo mic btw) wait 2-3 seconds before panning to the guy when he falls?
