I'm asking because I live in Canada and I have a journeyman pipe/steamfitter ticket with a red seal and just finished what we could in an electrical pre-employment course. (Because of the china flu we have done online for the last 3 months and can't finish until we get back to school for practicals and tests which could be a long time).
Is it busy in the USA for trades? We are practically dead up here. I worked in Alberta for 10 years working on natural gas compressors and got laid off with the down turn in 2016 so I took the last of my saving to go to school again for another trade. I am currently looking for a job to tie me over until I can finish my course but the more I look and the more companies i talk to it's going to be a hard time for anyone let alone skilled trades to find work now.
If it is busy in the beautiful USA how hard is it to move to the USA? Any help would be appreciated.
Don’t take this the wrong way, but fuck off we’re full, eh.
Well at the rate the democrats are letting your cities burn your going to need all the help you can get.
Your opinion doesn’t play a role in our recovery. We don’t need another mouth to feed and can handle whatever comes our way without the condescending, job stealing people from other countries.
This includes Canada and Canadians.
You won't play a role in your recovery because when the time comes you will just blame something else for your failure. Sounds to me like your a democrat trying to make real Americans look bad.
This is just nonsense.
Take it to heart, we don’t need anyone else coming here. Not by merit or otherwise. The pie has already been cut into too many pieces and the fact is we can’t take on the problems of other countries. To use your words, it’s dead up there. This is not our problem. We are not the fallback plan for the problems of your country or any other country.
We have been the suckling tit for the world as they come here and strip the opportunity from natural born Americans. They are already fighting as hard as they can for work because cheaper labor has been funneled into this nation for 40 years. It has undermined us for decades and the capacity to continue this trend is over.
The job you would take, if you arrived, would be at the expense of another American. This is unacceptable under the circumstances. We simply can’t take another person in the name of diversity, sympathy or any other excuse you want to use to browbeat us into accepting more people.
Fix your country like we are trying to do with the election of Trump. It’s dead up there for a reason and I, for one, am not willing to sacrifice my children’s opportunities because you have a screwed up situation.
Fuck off, we’re full.
