I read that some years ago England modified its laws regarding lawyers (barristers) such that if your lawyer loses your case, not only do you not have to pay them, but you can sue them. If we adopted the same policy, all the sham lawsuits - like the lady who burned herself with a cup of hot coffee - would disappear.
