Canadian here. I want a wall too. Good fences, good neighbours. Seriously, what's the downside? It's not like they'd stop you or I from crossing, it's just for the riff raff "refugees" who are about to be deported from the US and come north looking for a second kick at the can and bottomless welfare in the meantime.
