This asshole just banned all AR-15's from Canada, and now we're left wondering if he's going to send cops to bust our doors down to steal ours. The irony is I don't have AR's, but since I have a license, I'm suspect by default.
...and ranch rifles like the mini-14. I go my inforrmation letter from the RCMP this week. Just a pamphlet to let me know what my options were. ANd that they know where I live.

Sounds good in theory. Here's a question the RCMP might ask: What were you doing with a restricted firearm on a boat? You are only allowed to have them on a range. Please indicate how you were transporting a restricted firearm from your home to a range via a lake.
If I remember correctly you can transport restricted firearms in Canada by any means as long as it is unloaded, rendered inoperable by a trigger mechanism and locked in a rigid case. Unless the RCMP would like to show me a law that says the opposite?
