That could single handedly help bring the economy back from this mess. If you're skeptical about this, take a look at Colorado and Nevada and look at just how greatly their overall economy has benefitted from legalizing marijuana

I’m sorry marijuana does not kill you, does not make you crazy or anything like that. it’s way more harmless than alcohol, alcohol has killed hundreds of thousands plus when you’re smoking pot you don’t get into a car and drive into A Fam of 6.

The part that always gets me is, by legalizing it, you'd take the money away from the drug cartels. That and the fact that the laws aren't preventing it, people still get it, still smoke it. The big difference to me would be where the money ends up, or more importantly, where the money doesn't end up.

Marijuana legalization is honestly something that EVERYBODY should agree is a good idea. Think about it, if everybody was couch locked then they wouldn't be so pissed off and motivated to go out and start looting stores.

No, that's not a good idea. Smoking marijuana causes people to lose their minds; although they are the last to see or admit it. Nevada is run by organized crime and the intellectual and emotional maturity of Colorado places somewhere in the neigborhood of the island of Jamaica. That would make Trump look like a fool and make people think he smokes it.

If alcohol is legal (which you can actually overdose on) then there's no reason marijuana should be illegal.

I read a study this winter based on interviews with professional staff at one of New York's hospitals for the criminally insane. That means people who don't get sent to prison because they are unable to understand charges brought against them. (I know, sounds like Antifa) The question regarded drug use among inmates. The answer from the doctors and others, "Every single one of them smokes marijuana." Ponder that.

Yes, because a lot of them have schizophrenia and other similar mental disorders. I agree that marijuana can enhance the effects of mental disorders (for some), but for the average, sane person, it won't make you go crazy.

With respect to long term use, that position is not the conclusion of research. Visit the University of Colorado at Boulder on 4/20.

Trust me man, marijuana isn't what you think it is. There's a lot of productive stoners out there. Ben Shapiro explains why he changed his views on marijuana legalization.

https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/you-illuminated/201409/long-term-effects-marijuana-the-brain It has been studied and studied, the conclusions are always similar. That's a good indication the conclusions are true. It is not just grumpy old folks. Alchohol pretty much wears off overnight. Cannabis? Not.

I'm not saying it isn't bad for your brain if you smoke before you're 21, but alcohol is literally worse for the brain than weed and that shit's legal.

But, like in the MIchael Brown case, you can get fatally stupid...

Sorry, but I've looked into it and that's just not the case. The studies that show that marijuana "kills brain cells" and nonsense like that have been thoroughly debunked. Keep in mind that the same people who conduct studies like this get funded by Big Pharma.

And people involved in marijuana kill people:

Big Pharma doesn’t want you to smoke weed because they don’t make money from it

Pretty much, additionally, they want to keep people hooked on opiods because that's their main profit generator.

I know a lot of people that smoke weed and when they can’t get any they just don’t smoke it so I don’t see how addiction plays a part unless you’re addicted to other things
