My fever dream is that this site expands into having more and more dom reddits, but the more and more refugees on rafts arriving here to escape the struggle sessions on reddit have to prove they've been vaccinated against Critical Race Theory and all the other virulent and deadly intellectual diseases.
I wouldn't want more than a few extra doms, to avoid splitting the base, and I wouldn't ask the mods to try and manage something as monstrous as reddit. We've seen how shit voat and saidit can be with possibly less total users than we already have here.
We need to return to the era when all these communities had their own forums. People only abandoned forums for three reasons, a unified account, they liked the more active format of reddit over the organized and content separated format of a forum, and peer pressure to be on the 'front page of the internet'. Centralized anything runs counter to everything that actually makes the internet worthwhile.
