There was that CBS (I think?) tweet about people whining that it was racist to post food pics now - the smörgåsbord of deliciousness in the replies got me hella hungry but the choicest morsel I discovered was this essay Do Better than Critical Race Theory from the same site. Never seen this site before but I've been sharing that essay as much as I can so people can at least understand the basis for what's happening. I was really into debate team in high school and college, so I was learning a bunch of post-modern bullshit starting first year of HS... think I first really encountered Critical Race Theory in about 2005 at a debate camp at Stanford. Then in college, our coach was a white guy, a National Debate Tournament champion, that got his Ph.D. in race studies... I remember sitting front passenger side in a van full of us on a long ass drive to a debate tournament like about 1000 miles away at UC Berkeley as he told me about how it was impossible to be racist against black people. At the tournament, there was this round where we went up against two black guys from Towson that spewed nothing but hate speech against white people the entire time. In policy debate you use a timer and each side is supposed to get equal time. When the timer went off for the end of their speech, they said they must be allowed to keep going for reparations and they kept spewing virulent hatred. The judge was a white woman and she cut them off so they stopped trying that gambit.

But, I broke down crying in a hallway of some building at UC Berkeley, a school I got into but couldn't attend, even tho my godparents work there, because it was insanely out of my price range so I had to attend a school that constantly gets insulted. I realized that people could say the most hateful, racist, things to me, for no good reason. I arrived into a room, seeing people I'd never seen before, feeling compassionate and hoping for a mutually beneficial relationship and all they saw was white scum to be scorned and verbally abused as they talked about all the worse-than-verbal abuse I need to suffer. And I knew my "coach" believed in all the same hatred rationalizations.

I suddenly realized that debate wasn't about finding the truth, but just about winning. I've seen scientific studies claiming the same thing, but I think St. Augustine nails it in his Confessions. The English translations usually say "rhetoric" but it's exactly what debate was in my day - something my middle class parents thought would help me get ahead. But really it's the Wuhan Institute of Virology for ideas - it's a cesspool where selection eventually produces the most virulent of infectious intellectual diseases.

Circa 2007, that team from Towson, saying how debate judges MUST immediately, even before the debate, vote against any white person, without exception, because anything else was KKK WHITE SUPREMACY... they lost.

I quit debate. Then, the very next year, in the finals of the National Debate Tournament, it came down to two black guys losing to two black girls from Towson who were just like "lol, were women, they're men."

And now in 2020, the hatred of Critical Race Theory has been FAR more infectious than COVID-19, even an old racist fuck like Joe Biden has been infected, and he can hardly carry a thought at this point.

CRT is the true pandemic.
