Coming here to say that. I have not forgotten reading about multiple cases where amazon deleted a book off someone's device because of 'copyright issues' that emerged after purchase. VERY easy to "accidentally" delete all electronic copies from devices.

I'm pretty sure Pirate Bay has the same problem...

DRM free, store it offline with backup. Anything online is basically imaginary. See Google literally EDITING google docs to get rid of no no words.

Buy paper to insulate yourself from the digital Minotaur -- the effect of corporation changing editing digital documents on the fly to suit their narrative.

Anything not on paper is quickly erased.

Not only does conglomerates change their books and "Truth" on the fly, they can also ensure your old copies are obselete by "version incompatibility".

For example, who still have a working palmtop now? If your doc are stored in older formats on old electronic devices it's on dead-end and little ways to port out without going through the big company itself. I can imagine Kindle and google books you purchased being in formats you'll no longer be able to port out in future (like 2028-ish), whereby they'll probably allow you to "exchange" with a new file download, except for books that have then been removed for explicit/racist/watever-smear-of-the-day that will be lost forever when though you paid for them.

Entropy. Time alone destroys / eats everything, but some things are much more resilient than others. That's the concept of Lindy.

Paper books are Lindy. eBooks are lindy NOT.

I just bought the kindle version.

Out of spite.

Don't know if I will ever read it, as I kept up with the changing narrative all along.

But for $2.99 it felt good to tell book-burners to go to hell.

that cannot be electronically manipulated at some point.

Not perfect, but archive.is is a great defense for sneaky fake news that ninja edits their propaganda.

Not perfect, but it provides one level of redundancy against ninja edits.

Didn't Elon musk say something that exposed them?

Yes he did 💊

Trump supporter or not, he's sick of the liberal bs and exposing it for the whole world to see. He is now a really heavy red-pilling voice.

Thanks Amazon. I had no interest in reading it (Corona is SO April, riots are hot right now), but now I’ll be buying a paperback copy. You played yourself.

Thanks Amazon. I had no interest in reading it

Same here, and I doubt I ever will. Once I get it, it will probably go into my bookshelf and be forgotten about, but $6 is absolutely worth making a statement that good business operates under the premise that the marketplace decides what they want, not the other way around. At least that's the way it's supposed to work.

Awesome. Didn’t know about this. I try to avoid using Amazon (though I do have Prime) but if this is a thing I’m totally setting it up.

You can donate to Project Veritas through it too.

TonsOfSalt 3 points ago +3 / -0

You have to remember to make the purchase through the ".smile" version of the site.

Why would people buy this from Amazon continuing to support them? Buy it from another vendor!

I'll try other sources for the paperback.

Not interested in putting money in Bezos' pocket.

When did they start selling it? Was it unbanned because they gave up on HZQ and the new fear mongering is the riots?
