That's a good question. Obviously the incident was reported but not on a national level. Would there have been an outcry? There should have been but I doubt it because the narrative is the po po only act outrageously towards blacks. (even though a web search shows the bad behavior isn't limited to a single race, and is actually rare in terms of total interactions)
My personal opinion is this: the police are all too often an instrument of the state; for example enforcing lockdown regulations. If the general population starts thinking maybe it's the state versus the people instead of cops vs blacks the state may find itself in a bad position.
Which brings me to my biggest criticism of BLM; the idea that bully cops would not occur outside of a racist system. There are plenty historic examples of the state exerting its power thru its armies.
Yeah it’s pretty sad, personally never heard of the Tony Timpa case; I just know of the Kelly Thomas case because it makes most police brutality look pale in comparison. I remember it from when Alex Jones covered it on his show almost a decade ago
I don't think it's reasonable to suspect these guys intended to kill him. As terrible as it is that this ultimately caused him to die.
Like if these guys had all been told right before they did it: "If you kneel on this guy's back/side to restrain him he will die." I don't believe they would have done it.
Exact same situation as Floyd in my opinion. I don't believe any of those cops believed they were killing him or wanted to.
The only difference is that the media didn't cherry-pick this case and scream from the mountain tops that this proves police are "hunting" and "genociding" whites.
Totally agree, but with so many new eyeballs coming here, do we need "Fuck George Floyd" in the headline? I never want to censor, but I recommend this place to many different people. I know this sounds terrible to some, but it's an honest thought.

Kelly Thomas would be a more appropriate event
