This is the way I tell everyone to shave when the subject comes up and this is the way I will teach my kids to shave. The handle for the blade is $20, but you can buy a 100 pack of blades for like $10. It absolutely blows me away people spend upwards of $30 a month shaving, even using the same razor blade for many shave sessions, when I use a fresh blade each shave because they are so cheap. I never had a smoother and cleaner face, and I never spent less money on shaving.

I would never go back to those Gillette or whatever other brand makes those plastic razor blades. They are expensive and they suck. Learn to use a safety razor, and never look back. There’s a reason your great grandfather, grandfather, and father all used these blades their whole lives. $20 may seem expensive up front, but you will use it until the day you die.

100%. It truly is the best way to shave and also happens to be exponentially more economical as well

I like to use the analogy it’s just like comparing an inkjet printer vs a laser printer. The inkjet is cheap but you will constantly be raped by ink prices. The laser one is more expensive up front but much, much cheaper per page printed.

Of course not many people print stuff so they have no need for an expensive printer and just get the inkjet and use it a few times a year, but with a razer it’s different because nearly everyone out there shaves multiple times a week, both men and women, so it makes sense to invest in something you literally use all the time for decades.

Until the "replace drum" message comes up and it's cheaper to buy a new printer.

I just get a bag of disposable razors including the handles for like $12, one of them will last months if you clean it and don't let it rust.

Did I miss a memo where I should be tossing them after one use or something? How do people spend so much on shaving?

This is long before I started growing my beard out, too. Beards are alpha as hell.

They get more dull after each use, I have no idea how a disposable lasts you months. My facial hair comes in thick so my blades get ruined quick and since a blade costs me like 10 cents it doesnt matter to use a new one each time.

Dude idk how. I have a harry’s razor that’s been on the same cartridge for almost 2 months. Facial exfoliator first then it’s usually a smooth shave, even with a used razor.

I guess I don’t have a job where I have to be clean shaven all the time so maybe that helps? Still weird to be spending a shitload of money of razors of all things
