Honor is due. But please, everyone realize we CAN muster the same feats these heroes did. We CAN fully comprehend the sacrifice they made. We CAN understand the scale.
And we MUST.
The shot heard round the world was 245 years ago. Its effects lasted far longer than the 20 years our founding Fathers warned us we'd need to be prepared for another violent uprising to throw off a tyrannical government, but very clearly that shot has not been heard for some time, with the election of DJT being the sole redeeming virtue of our Nation.
We all know we are under attack. Not just as conservatives, not just as (pick your group to identify with, I am the worst possible creature on the earth according to PC: white, male, Christian, CIS gendered, straight, baby boomer)
but as a NATION. Maxine Waters has openly called for a coup, not that there was any doubt anyway.
The first soldier to enter battle on D-Day was my Mom's Uncle. Of course he did not win it all by himself, but he survived all of Operation Overlord and was still with the 101st airborne throughout the battle of Bastogne. He came home in one piece physically and mentally, lived a full life and died of old age on domestic soil. There was nothing exceptional about Uncle Frank, he wasn't especially big, or strong, or fast, or smart. He was determined though!
We all have a common purpose. We just need clear goals, and organization. It is very clear we need to achieve at least 3 objectives before November:
sick people get medicine. It's stupifying that this needs to be said, but if Governors hadn't denied HCQ we'd have 8,000 dead instead of 100,000. that's mass murder.
there's no such thing as a "non-essential business," or job. Neither is there legal basis for making that distinction. It's merely an attempt to destroy the US.
Every time this has been challenged legally, we have WON. Before plannedriots, there were 1,500 lawsuits filed against local and State governments. We should all be signing onto as many of those as we can. A well-written class action lawsuit allows everyone affected in the State to sign on. That's how we WIN. Nobody gets tapped for money by the State dragging it on. Also, we can sue Governors for their own personal wealth. Civil and criminal lawsuits make them die as paupers in prison, which is an essential message to send to all future would-be tyrants. Where your governor is ok, focus on the most tyrannical Mayor in the State.
Fair elections. No mail-in ballots. Voter ID, one voter in person gets one vote, ink on the finger, whatever it takes to make our election SECURE. We facilitated that in Afghanistan of all places, we can do it here. And we MUST. This is an existential threat to the US, freedom's last stand on the planet. Please take on the scale of this. It is our turn to be heroes!
