Imagine the massive balls it must have taken for these soldiers to willingly run into a beach with machine gun fire raining down on them. Many died in the landing craft because they were shot when the ramps dropped. 75th Rangers scaled cliffs under enemy fire and paratroopers from the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions were fighting behind enemy lines, outnumbered and outgunned, all while this was occuring. We must never forget these heroes.
