Smart man - "Who benefits if I adopt this idea? Mind blowing to think about."

This person has just leveled up to 2D thinking. Its chess, not checkers, for him from here on out.

47
Ferrous_Tarkus 47 points ago +47 / -0

Baby steps. One dimension at a time.

He's on 2d thinking now. Soon he will graduate to 3d thinking (Man and his place in society... seeing the bigger picture.) and soon 4d thinking (Man and his place in Civilization... seeing the broader picture beyond the present.).

16
1776-or-1984 16 points ago +17 / -1

Which way, White Man? - one of the bigger questions

17
Ferrous_Tarkus 17 points ago +18 / -1

That is an answer we will have to answer (and I hate to say this) collectively.

Can civic nationalism be saved? I would like to think so... but in order to do so it will not be enough to take back our government. We will have to save our institutions (local government, police forces, Sheriffs, schools and school boards) as well.

The damage will take decades to repair.

That said: I'm confident this could work. Already President Trump is at 40% approval with the Black community. If we can continue improving things for them (and indeed: for all americans) I'm confident we could persuade them to see things the same way we do.

Remember: the Black Community was well on track to become just like Whites before LBJ rolled out the "Great Society" project that destroyed the Black community with welfare handouts. I'd like to see if we can get back to that so they can learn what we know... but it will take time. It's going to be a multi-generational effort.

23
Southern_Belle 23 points ago +24 / -1

We can do it.

Especially once we tell black people what's really going on.

That being: they were enslaved until the mid-60s. First real slavery, then Jim Crow.

When they were finally about to get free with the civil rights act, those a-hole democrats opened up third-world immigration to push black people down again.

And rewarded them for not having families!

That's why the best thing you can do for black people is to halt all immigration. Stop bringing in competing groups.

Get blacks on track for the American Dream, like everyone else.

Taper off systemic welfare and ensure there are enough jobs so people can find dignity and prosperity.

19
Ferrous_Tarkus 19 points ago +20 / -1

That SHOULD be our plan.

Save our nation by saving our people.

We're not doing this to save the Black Community: we're doing this to save ALL communities.

We're doing to save our nation.

ONE NATION. OUR NATION. OUR HOME.

17
the_sky_is_falling 17 points ago +17 / -0

You remember Harriet Tubman, who helped thousands of blacks escape slavery?

Remember her words, "I could have saved so many more, only if they knew they were enslaved"

It took a civil war and an immense number of dead men and carnage to give Africans living in the country the same rights.

And there is a myth that the blacks started voting Democrat in the 60s

Nope, they abandoned the Republicans in the 30s under Roosevelt and have stayed in the Democrat camp ever since.

The idea that 40% are now gonna switch to the Republican Party is hopeful but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

You can help remove the physical chains from a peoples who been enslaved. But for them to remove the mental chains, nothing you or me do can remove it. They need to remove it themselves and they have refused to do it.

That there are a few like Candace Owens out there is encouraging but let's be honest - it's not the norm and it's highly unlikely it will ever become the norm

But I hope you are right, for everyone's sake

6
GrizWallerOGV 6 points ago +6 / -0

The thing is we don't need 40% of them. Even 20% would be devastating for them.

10
StaryHickory 10 points ago +10 / -0

LBJ decimated them. But there was also the inflationary spending. It began under LBJ and continued under Nixon and took off. Since that moment if you look at the wealth gap and inflation they correlate perfectly.

Inflating the currency and borrowing can push the factories and middle class jobs overseas. It got harder to harder to get paid for honest labor. I think this is overlooked as well. LBJ's programs are the problem but the deficit spending and inflation were really what gutted a lot of those jobs the black community depended on.

3
Ferrous_Tarkus 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yep. The globalists had their hand in this. Enriching themselves at our expense.

If only we had a person who could put a stop to this...

...like a President or something...

8
AtariArtist 8 points ago +8 / -0

Ya that's Scott Adams level of persuasion right there. Made me stop and read it 3x.

6
Block_Helen 6 points ago +6 / -0

It's brilliant. Fantastic work, pede. That is how you get people to think.

6
Basil2 6 points ago +6 / -0

People think I can convince them about why they are wrong with like some 5 minute video. That is almost completely impossible, it can happen I guess but it's extremely rare!

21
1776-or-1984 21 points ago +21 / -0

This is why memes work. They're micro-doses of sanity and reality. It's why the left can't meme, cuz you can't meme delusion, you can only meme reality, usually pointing out doublethink and hypocrisy.

Meme are like death by 1000 cuts/1000 micro-doses of reality.

12
Ferrous_Tarkus 12 points ago +12 / -0

And now you know why I constantly say this:

The Great Meme War is real.

It is a war. An actual war for the hearts and minds of our fellow Americans.

It is a war for the soul of our nation.

Memes are our weapons. Our strategies are logic and reason. Our tactics are emotions and arguments. Our objectives are the hearts and minds of our countrymen who would otherwise be lied to or deceived.

The stakes are real: the fate of our country--the nation we call "home"--is at stake.

Fight this war just like any other war: with persistence. Do not give up. Your life is at stake.

10
Trump2024 10 points ago +10 / -0

God bless our MemeSmiths. The first great meme war caught us almost unprepared but our youth, as well as the more experienced, stepped up and fought valiantly. From your own words, 1000 cuts/1000 micro-doses of reality. But the reality is we need a continuous supply of those 1000 red pills. Thank God that we're getting in new recruits daily to help stay the course. A constant blitzkrieg is how we win the battles. God speed MemeSmiths. You are our future.

Leftist thought process confirmed.

Look at that meaningless meandering of word salad.

"I'm presented with a piece of content, mainstream produced content, and I'm challenging with a new set of questions."

Word salad!

"One of which being, who benefits from me if I adopt this idea?" Translation - They even attempt to virtue signal with their thoughts.

That said, glad your friend is coming around. And nothing against them personally, I'm just attacking the words.

46
DrCowboyPresident 46 points ago +46 / -0

"who benefits from me if I adopt this idea?" Is simply another way of stating Cui Bono, which is absolutely the correct question to be asking. Not sure how that's virtue signaling. And I don't see how the previous was word salad. "I'm questioning what the MSM feeds me in a new way now" is what he said.

21
fluffmiceter 21 points ago +22 / -1

I think it's just the person trying to not completely explode their ego as they bow in shame and admit that the person they had argued against for years is right. Gotta throw in some of that word salad to feel good about yourself!

16
tommichael522 16 points ago +16 / -0

It's important not to rub it in! Allow them the opportunity to come to your side without shame! That's key to winning someone over - otherwise they'll resist harder out of ego and shame.

8
Tallgingergirl 8 points ago +8 / -0

Definitely a huge part of it, I am sure. As someone who has always been conservative bc I was raised in that environment, I have no idea what it is like to suddenly open your eyes to the actual truth of the world after years of just accepting what you have been fed by the MSM and the woke crowd. One of my friends who used to be progressive (but recently redpilled) told me it can be very overwhelming and intense. In a lot of cases, years of brainwashing come crashing down and it can really shock your system and fuck you up a bit before you get your bearings...

6
the_sky_is_falling 6 points ago +6 / -0

It's literally like a person's religious world view disappearing.

Your morals, ethics, your community revolves around that world view.

When you realise you have been lied to your whole life, two things can happen - you can reject the truth and double down on the lie.

Or you can accept that your worldview is a lie.

But this is also dangerous - you have nothing anymore.

Despair hits you like a freight train.

This is why if you ever notice your leftist friend is cracking and starting to accept a few red pills, be there for them.

Imagine Neo taking the Red Pill all by himself, with no one around to help him.

One would go mad with the horror of it all

5
Tallgingergirl 5 points ago +5 / -0

Ty for this, it helps me to understand. I was part of the redpilling (in no way do I take credit as he is a smart man it just took him awhile) and saw him get depressed and angry. Oftentimes, he would lash out at me or revert back to his old ways of thinking. I did a lot of listening and hugging. I think people like us on .win can take a lot in terms of beatings from the media, the woke crowd, etc. so we are in a unique position to serve as the foundation for those transitioning to the light.

11
Fabius 11 points ago +11 / -0

It's not word salad at all. He's being articulate and precise with his language. There are no superfluous words at all.

Not really sure what you think "word salad" is.

4
AtariArtist 4 points ago +4 / -0

Actually the who benefits was the idea that turned him over. Not sure if he rephrased it when recounting it but that wasn't his idea.

3
brassmule 3 points ago +3 / -0

Hopefully he goes to the backyard and digs up that lead. It's dangerous.

He should know that one "buries the lede" instead.

28
xBigCoffinHunter 28 points ago +29 / -1

I think some people have this idea that you have to actually like a candidate to vote for them. I can understand how some may not appreciate the things about POTUS that I love about him, but the man is killing it in the job and with very little assistance

14
saveMySpeech 14 points ago +14 / -0

Exactly. Like most people won't quit their job just because the CEO of the company has differing views on something.

10
koyima 10 points ago +10 / -0

Assistance? Literally everyone that has any power is against him, it is insane how much shit they are willing to throw at the guy, if I wasn't already aware I would consider that they have something really important to lose

Maybe they are all pedos... Wait

9
Overkillengine 9 points ago +9 / -0

Hell, I'm not a huge fan of Trump's personality, but I've been in enough situations to see where a ruthless trash talker is ridiculously effective at riling their opponent up so much that they make even stupider mistakes than usual.

And Trump's not stupid. I wish I was half as "bad" as he allegedly is at business. I'd still end up rich as fuck.

8
the_sky_is_falling 8 points ago +8 / -0

There is this idiotic notion where someone must act "Presidential"

This tells you how much the average American knows nothing about the founding fathers.

If you read up about the stuff that came out of Thomas Jefferson's mouth when he was running for President against his opponent, you'd wonder where they got this idea that one must be "Presidential" to run the country.

This person also seems like a talented writer. You should see my Facebook page, full of a bunch of illiterate jerks that think they’re smarter than everyone else. There’s no debate going on, it’s just an echo chamber and people arguing without ever conceding a point.

Your persistence has been rewarded.

Your victory in the Great Meme War has been noted.

You fought to change the mind of this person who you call your friend.

You succeeded.

4
AtariArtist 4 points ago +4 / -0

You don't have to love Trump to vote for him. You only have to love America as much as President Trump does. That seems to help the pill go down for some.

I so love to hear stories like this. It's like saving someone's life. It's no easy task either! It can be exhausting, like performing an exorcism on someone that is hell bent on keeping the demon inside them. It's called the Stockholm Syndrome. They can't even consider that their mind captors could be harming them. Out of maybe 10 of my liberal friends sadly acquaintances now I've only successfully helped 1 truly swallow the red pills. I've got mixed results with a few others. They desperately want to get off of the plantation in their heart but their minds aren't following yet. They are swallowing the red pills but their still injecting the venom from the corporate sponsored media pushers. I've got one friend in NYC that is so close to stepping over the threshold. I really really didn't think she would EVER accept the healing power of TheDonald and guess who has been chatting a lot with me now about making the switch? Yep. It was the Chy-nah virus hoax that started the gears moving but the rioters fucking up Manhattan where she lives shoved her closer to the point of no return. Just minutes ago I sent her the Candace Owens video. I'm hoping that will be the clincher. Pray for her success, Pedes, she's a long time dear friend and I don't want to lose her.

That is great man. We need some help, America needs some help. The left is crazy and getting crazier. America needs to show them that no one is gonna be crazy up in here. The Brits spanked their commie pricks we need to do the same.

You’ll prob never see this comment...but seriously, thank you for this post. I’ve been arguing with a long time family friend. I’ve known him since kindergarten. We became distant after college as we went to different schools and then I moved away from the state. I don’t know what happened to him, because he was always smart. But he chugged the democrat koolaid.

We’ve been going back and forth on facebook and I can’t believe how hard left he is. I can’t reason with him. Maybe I came on too strong, I dunno. I started to just give up and let him suffer. But I’m inspired now. I’ll do the same thing. Start posting regularly the truth. I’ll pray that he starts paying attention to that.

2

2
Omega13 2 points ago +2 / -0

I wish I had this kind of luck.

I am in an unending debate against a liberal relative that I cannot fathom. In 2016, the man professed to not liking Trump, but utterly hated HillDawg. He legit thought she was either someone's puppet or evil on her own.

In 2020, the man is burying his head in the sand and swearing to support Biden. He dismisses concerns and criticisms about his past and misquotes as one buzzword or another. He condemns all the videos as doctored and proclaims that all his creepy behavior is taken out of context. He condemned all accusations against him as political and opportunistic, but the man can quote Trump and Kavanaugh's accusers verbatim. He is somehow convinced that Biden is sharp as a razor and merely bad with public appearances, but will attack any stutter or misquote from Trump as irrefutable evidence that we need the 25th Amendment.

All this and the man has the audacity to insist he is an objective centrist.

I feel like a man trying to squeeze water from a chunk of glass!
