Whether his intent was to either 1) fake an injury (scammer) or 2) actually hurt himself (psycho scammer), number 2 is what wound up happening. I understand why the cops might have marched past him without stopping to help. They assumed he wasn't injured because the 'flop' was so obviously on his own volition, so they might have thought "who would do that to themselves if it would result in serious injury"? it's bizarre, just like many things at these communist riots, and sometimes cops react to unfamiliar situations in less than perfect ways because they are impossible to train for. Of course I could be wrong, but again, to me, the part where the action starts looks forced by the "victim" himself. He threw himself down.
