When I pick up a book, I don't research the author first. I don't look at their picture, I don't read their bio, I just read the book. And then, if I like it, I look up who the author is and what else they've written.
The racial makeup of my reading list is entirely due to merit. If there aren't enough black people on that list, that sounds like their problem, not mine.

She talked about muh racism and then read one of the worst excerpts from a book I've ever heard. Cliche and bland as fuck.
