The lockdown forced a lot of companies to tighten up a bit. I really hope that most of the people that got laid off were them. Most of the people I’m closer with are all level headed conservative types that would never once allow information about that to exist in public space for fear of public execution, but they all stayed on at their companies and took over for 5 people or more. Their workload really isn’t all that much different now and they mostly wondered why the other people had been hired in the first place.

Considering Blacks didn't develop a written language of their own and most nations prohibited literacy among enslaved Black people, I wouldn't expect nearly as many books to have been written by Blacks when compared to authors of other races. Also, literacy in the western world has led other civilizations by far which fed the demand for greater publishing. Seriously. I was just a few minutes ago (before reading this) thinking about taking up a study of Kipling. I've never really read him other than some of the well-known poems.

Trying to think of a pleasant way to say this, but, in the most bluntest way-it's not my fault that I, a whitey in a predominately white country, read mostly white authors-Then again, books are more of a merit thing for me, not race bullshit.
Considering Blacks didn't develop a written language of their own and most nations prohibited literacy among enslaved Black people, I wouldn't expect nearly as many books to have been written by Blacks when compared to authors of other races. Also, literacy in the western world has led other civilizations by far which fed the demand for greater publishing. It would be expected that a comprehensive bookshelf would be dominated by white authors.
This has been happening for years. Any book with the “N” word in has been removed from libraries all around the US. Many of Mark Twains works such as Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer.
They should be ashamed, pretending to be literate and clearly having no idea the entire existence of our species has only been a small fraction of an eon.
Needs to be defunded. Badly.

Do you have a good source on that? All I hear about Lovecraft is how racist he is, but never how he overcame it.

Someone else posted this earlier but I will echo the sentiment: get physical media. Don’t buy digital books. Buy paper books and DVDs - they are cheap because everyone has moved to digital media. The tech left will deny you access to digital media that they deem to not conform to their narrative, but the left can’t burn what they can’t get to or can’t find.
I have to buy digital media due to vision issues. Besides a vacation trip no longer requires carrying 40 pounds of books. I do however protect my investment. My ebooks will not disappear.
