Not a single French Republic has come close to lasting as long as long or having the prestige as the Kingdom founded by Hugh Capet. And yeah, Bonapartism was a failure. But in Napoleon I's case, I'd like to see some President of a Republic do better against all of Europe. Especially when fighting all of Europe piggybacked all your allies backstabbing you at the most inconvenient time possible.
First and Second Republics collapsed into Imperial Republics/Empires. Third Republic Folded almost immediately when Nazis invaded. And true, Napoleon III lasted about as long against the Germans but Nappy III only lost Alsace Lorraine. Third Republic was only able to expand based on the foundatoin Nappy III gave them and then when up against the Nazis they handed over half of Metropolitan France. Fourth Republic failed in a little over a decade and collapsed into the Fifth Republic which is currently the world's laughing stock. So "one more time: FUCK REPUBLICS".
Republics have a slightly higher success rate than socialism, but it's still not even close to a 10% success rate.

I'm pretty sure there were techincally three kingdoms: the Ancien regime, the Bourbon restoration, and the July monarchy
