Obviously not friends, I would put zero effort into either trying to fix that, or worrying about them myself. I don't have any problem apologizing if i think I've done something wrong, but I would make no compromises to try to "meet in the middle" for racists, which is what they are. Even more so ones so ignorant to be blatantly racist while claiming to be protesting racism. Especially if it was harsh like you describe. Never show your face again cause your white? Fuck you then.
