Nah mate it was alway partisan. Grew up in Northern Ireland. Westminster news (main BBC) made it look like the only terrorists in the place were the IRA. Like Loyalists didn't kill 40% of the people or anything.
Well back when the NI situation was more serious I was still too young to appreciate things. But now I do. I'm not surprised the BBC would be biased towards UK mainland vs NI separatists, that's pretty much a given since they broadcast from where the crown is. But in terms of international news and coverage, they've completely lost their way. Turn on to their front page right and it's black people only, as if people of other races don't exist. They've just gone overboard with social justice and all that.
