They have nothing to offer so have to depend on fresh crops of young voters who are too innocent and naive about politics to notice they run the same grooming scam every 4 years.
I think that they may not be doing this in hopes of winning the Whitehouse this year. Their candidate is a guaranteed loser. I think that they are working on poisoning the second Trump term
It's all they have. Stowing chaos, pretending to have solutions to the manufactured chaos. They don't have candidates people want to vote for. They rant about how the country is over, and doom and gloom for 4 years and then if you vote for them it magically gets better. It's an endless cycle.
The problem with the far left is that it always thinks it's more influential and more powerful than it is.
Specifically, their polls show that their positions on all the issues is in line with the majority of Americans. However, that's not true. It is true on every single individual issues they agitate for if that issue is examined as if it was in a vaccuum and not related to anything else. For instance, yes on individual polls, Americans respond yes to Medicare for All, yes to black lives matter/police brutality, yes to more funding for climate change, yes to alternative fuels, yes to more education, yes to everyone being able to choose their own sexuality/gender, yes to more regulation of Wall Street/corporations, yes to higher taxes for the rich, yes to more taxes to fund "art", yes to gun control....the problem however, is when all of these issues are put into a basket, the basket is shaken and a candidate with a platform comes out. A candidate who is "yes" on all of the agenda items of the far left only has about 10% of Americans being in favor of that candidate's platform. Also the items the individual Americans may favor for that candidate may be very low on the priority list...what I mean is this, take someone who against gun control, supports the 2nd Amendment but also thinks government should fun Research and Development into alternative energies while subsidizing solar and wind.. It's pretty safe to say that generally, that 2nd Amendment supports is going to be vote based on his or her 2nd Amendment beliefs but will consider R&D and government subsidies for alternative energies, really, really low on the list and might not even consider candidates who share that particular view favorably at all. In fact, that 2nd Amendment supporter is more like to campaign or volunteer for the candidate that is pro 2nd amendment and against the candidate who is pro alternative energy subsidies and R&D.
It's in those types of details that the left wing falls apart. Most people will answer "yes" on a poll to any question that sounds like "the people" get more stuff and the ruling political/economic class gets f'd. That doesn't mean that's what those same people will consider in terms of a candidate or what they'll vote for come election day. Lefties cannot understand that their positions really aren't a product of Americans favoring those positions but rather of knee jerk unthinking, yes to free shit bias we all have combined with "rich people such" envy we all have. Nothing more.
Yes, they do think Americans are too stupid to see through the chaos.
The ones who voted for Obama 2x Bernie 1x and Hillary 1x are pretty stupid!

Weird how black lives only matter during the 4 year election cycle!

They hate democracy so much they would rather enter into a war than not win one election.
Once you've dug a hole deep enough, down is the only way you can go.
Yes.
