If the Ferguson Effect kicks in, like it probably will, we’re going to see less policing and more crime in the coming months. Things are going to get very bad in some places. If the Democrats continue down the road of insisting that police forces be disbanded entirely, during a period of rising crime... I just can’t see that going well for them.
Not to mention, the long-term affects on their communities. Businesses are NOT coming back. Riots are business killers. Sure, we'll see a token starbucks virtue signal, but serious, hiring businesses are gone forever.
I remember watching the movie, 'Escape from New York' when I was younger. It blows my mind that cities like New York, DC, Minneapolis, etc.. are becoming exactly like the movie, except worse. The movie actually recognized crime as bad.
100% agree. Imagine Trump asking Joe whether he supports defining the police on a nationally televised debate! He'd ostracized a huge base he's riled up up if he said no, and would ostracized an even larger base if he says yes. Just seeing him squirm through an answer like that would be priceless.

White people move in? “Gentrification!”
White people stay put? “Segregation!”
White people leave? “White flight!”
White people exist? “White privilege!”
White people point out the insanity of this all? “Whitelash!”
It’s already very difficult to keep a business open in some of these areas, due to crime. Of course they won’t come back if they’ve been burnt down.
The funny thing about defunding the police is that businesses don't do all so badly.
That's not to say that they don't take a hit but the people hit hardest are those who can't afford private protection.

Some neighborhoods will want the cops back. The Somali areas will probably use it as a chance to enforce sharia law
