Long story short. Our neighbors are LIBERAL AF. The wife was reamed online and called racist for saying she doesn't understand why people are burning/looting businesses that have nothing to do with cops or George Floyd. She was heartbroken about getting called something so horrendous knowing she absolutely is not racist. I told her I know exactly how you feel, then came out of the closet as a Trump supporter to her for the first time. Her jaw dropped as i'm sure she immediately went back to the time she told me all Trump supporters are racist and vile (not knowing I was one). Now they ask questions about his policies and want us to teach them about shooting and are planning on buying a gun for home defense.
Keep it up leftist loonies you are handing over some of you most ardent supporters to the Trump train by acting like asylum escapees.
Let me put this in perspective for the younger folks. I have the luxury of having been alive in 1968 (albeit, only as a kid).
The United States had just seen unprecedented strife and political tension after the assassinations of Dr. Martin Luther King and Sen. Robert Kennedy. The tension was worse then than is now, if only because the phenomenon of black "race riots" *(Did you know that, before 1960, a 'race riot' meant white people rioted against blacks -- not the other way around).
The Left (and the so-called "Right Wing" Republicans) love to remember the '68 election as a contest between Hubert Humphrey and Richard M. Nixon (who had lost to Kennedy in 1960) in which, the later barely squeaked by with a mere 43.4% of the electorate, compared to Humphrey's 42.7%.
However, absolutely nobody wants to remember that their was an extremely disruptive Third Party Candidate by the name of George Wallace (Yes! The famous segregationist evil man from Alabama). Wallace won five southern states and 13.5% of the vote.
if Wallace had never entered the race, do you think those five deep South horribly racist States would have gone to Humphrey? LBJ's Veep? The lead author of the 1964 Civil Rights Act?
Lyndon Johnson could have run for reelection in 1968 but he declined. He knew he wouldn't be reelected and didn't want to go through the misery of it all.
Nixon would, no doubt, have won in a landslide if Wallace hadn't entered the race.
In 1972, the Democrats ran ultra-liberal George McGovern (He wanted to give every single American $1000. Who does that sound like?) and Nixon gave him a brutal beat-down of 520 electoral votes to McGovern's 17 (One state only, Massachusetts - not his home State of S. Dakota) and a whopping 61% of the vote.
In other words, we are looking at a landslide in November and the psychotic T.D.S. press will have a field day trying to explain why there are so many more "racists" there are in America, now that Trump has been reelected.
Wow. Thanks for this. I had no idea history was repeating itself so much. I have also been reading there was a bad flu going around in the 60s. Its crazy that even back then the liberals were pushing free money.
