Last week, Mayor Carmen Yulín of "We are Dying Here!" and Bernie Campaign fame decreed "47 days of mourning" for Floyd George. She ordered all municipal buildings to fly their flags at half mast for the period. Well, today I passed by the main municipal police HQ, and the PR flag plus Old Glory remain at full staff. Just to be sure, I drove past 3 other police stations to be sure it wasn't a fluke. Also, all the cops are wearing blue face masks and wearing a Thin Blue Line armband.
You can imagine the courage it takes for these cops to stand with their mainland brothers and sisters during this time. Note that Yulín is their boss, and the PR flag flying here is the light-blue one of her party. (The real PR flag has a blue that matches the star field of the American flag.)
