-Black lead or co-lead actor who is mentally and/or physically superior to the white guy. If lead actor is white he must either be made fun of, or make self-deprecating comments about himself. This is not applicable to black characters.
-Strong Empowered woman who can punch 250lb 6"3 guys across a room and this is accepted as perfectly normal.
-One of the leads must be in an inter-racial relationship. No-one in the movie will comment on or have a problem with it.
-Random gay character. It will be noted that s/he is gay, and no-one in the movie will remark on it or have a problem with it (unless its a mentally/morally deficient character who will need to be scolded by the virtuous lead). The gay character will be morally flawless and will be right about everything, usually providing crucial help to the lead at a pivotal moment.
-Any historical/period film in medieval Europe will now have completely random Black/Asian/Latino actors, with no-one ever questioning how and why they got there.
Classic TV is where it's at.
America's entertainment viewing habits are about to get blacked.
That's ok. We still get to be the bad guys in every home security commercial.
So if everyone on TV & radio and movies were black does anyone think the criminality of a 'certain demographic' would diminish?
Or am I a bad man for even asking the question?
