Enough already. I see them all over the place. e.g. An (hospital name) Hero Lives Here!

If you are an emergency physician or ER nurse its your job to take care of trauma and emergency cases.

Why do people have a need for constant affirmation from strangers?

I worked ER for 20 years. It high stress but it wasnt anything I would consider heroic. ER staff gets paid well. A hero does it for free.

RNFA here, and I agree.

I drove through a suburb the other day, and at a huge estate with a palatial home on top of a hill there was a sign stating the local hospital name HERO lives here.

Obviously a Dr's residence & all the neighbors are bound to know he/she's a Dr so why the sign? Ridiculous.
