And their plan is to take God out of the churches as well. Pretty soon we will be like this one footage of China singing praises to the government IN CHURCH!

They're already working on it. They're making churches sign some type of contract which I believe involves pastors snitching on their members etc in order to reopen.

These protests are just a distraction from the fact. Many pastors have already come out and said they would rather their church be shut down than sign anti Christ contracts.

Although, a majority of churches of course will sign.

blumpkinblake 5 points ago +5 / -0

Where did you read about this contract thing?

RedditIs4Retards 3 points ago +4 / -1

I didn't, pastors are talking about it and the one from my church warned us

Never cave. Never bend.

We're not 4; we have all our beliefs and values already!

You don't need church or any organized religion to have God in your life! Ive found organized religions are fronts for pedofilia n corruption! I'm a recovering Roman Catholic who loves Jesus!

brtf4vre -1 points ago +4 / -5

But I guess you don't love him enough to join the only religion He started. He probably made a mistake with that and you know better I'm sure.

HillarysBeaverMunch 1 point ago +1 / -0

That is a wholly ignorant thing to say. I am dumber for reading it.

It offers absolutely nothing of value.

Sounds like something a leftist atheist would say.

1
brtf4vre 1 point ago +1 / -0

Dude, protestants are the same as leftists. Entire world view is built upon lies and distortions of historical facts and your belief system is FULL of internal contradictions that you just accept without even thinking about it.

My church gave 3 shitty "white people bad" sermons (that I attended) in a row so I will never go there ever again. Ecclesia in Houston.

Let them have their dystopia? Fuck no. Time to take our country back from commie sellouts.

RedWhiteBlue15 10 points ago +10 / -0

It's all necessary for communism. There is a reason the deep state free mason society worship satan. It's how they turn the world into a enslaved one government communist hell. Belief in God encourages people to better themselves and make better choices. The commies can indulge in their satanic pedo culture with religious citizens in power.

Are you not entertained...?

As bad as all of these are the worst is the disdain for truth.

Lack of religion and people raising their children really poorly, they're probably related. Parents teach their children how to act, the poorly raised ones don't feel regret when they do shitty things or think about doing them. Religion and being raised properly instills that in us.

I am a Christian atheist. I used to be an atheist that thought there was no value in the teachings without god. I used to think I didn't believe in god or christianity. Now I wholeheartedly believe in the teaxhings of the bible, but have some trouble with the god and mysticism part.

Reality is taking me for a joyride through my 20s

7
Bluestorm83 7 points ago +7 / -0

You're only in your 20s, eh? Just an idea, but if you want to, really STUDY the Bible. Don't just read it, but look for the cross-references, see how the Reformers studied it. Look into the real MEAT of the Word. Worst case scenario? You'll have a great cultural study of the age of the Reformation and the values that led to the founding and building of America, and spiritually be none the worse for wear.

1
brtf4vre 1 point ago +3 / -2

lol the 'reformers'. You mean the guys who appointed themselves as the new popes and made up a bunch of new ideas from the Bible

1
Bluestorm83 1 point ago +1 / -0

Uh huh. OR the guys who read the Bible and went "Wait a second, this doesn't say anything about all this fake bullshit that Rome insists on."

It all depends on which side you're on, and whether or not you want to go ad-hom against someone who's just trying to share what they think is good, so fuck off.

1
brtf4vre 1 point ago +1 / -0

If Martin Luther and John Calvin disagree about what the Bible means, how do you know who is right?

1
Bluestorm83 1 point ago +1 / -0

I believe I already dismissed you with a "fuck off," so please don't waste any more of your time.

Ive been there with those sort of questions myself. If I was not a Christian I would be the biggest hedonist I could. I’d recommend C.S. Lewis Surprised by Joy, or any of his writings if your interested.

Formerlurker92 6 points ago +6 / -0

I enjoyed the screwtape letters and Narnia. It's been a winding road back but I am learning that the boring old rules had a point as I get to see people living without them

5
Vegans4Trump 5 points ago +5 / -0

Same here I left the church a few years ago because there was so much I didn't like. Still don't really believe in the Bible but I sure as hell have been praying to God every night lately

Been there, my faith was in science, God impressed on me to ask for miracles, oh boy!

It's more accurate to say that this is what a non-moral (both amoral and immoral) society looks like. There are plenty of upstanding folks I'd describe as moral atheists who think that morals have a rational basis. For all intents and purposes, their morals tend to be nearly identical to Judeo-Christian morals without the God-worshipping parts. There are obviously many immoral atheists too, just as there are immoral people of all religious sects.

Lack of morals is nothing new, but the widespread lack of morals in our society is like a cancer; it threatens to end our society. There are many causes, including the decline of the influence of organized religion, children not being taught simple things like the golden rule, the dissolution of traditional families, our corrupt educational system, and the rapid advance of poorly understood technologies.

The distinction between lack of religion (Godless) and lack of morals is important in the real world. Consider the topic of abortion. After decades of near stalemate, it's reasonable to conclude that religious arguments against abortion have largely fallen on deaf ears. However, in recent years, as science has given us fetal brain scans and other evidence that fetuses are distinct individuals, some folks have changed their opinions. Frankly, it's not surprising that non-religious moral arguments are more likely to sway non-religious people.

Cardinalix 2 points ago +2 / -0

Don't see how decades of unchecked abortion can be seen as a stalemate... I hope the tide is turning as you say but there was no stalemate. We lost.

Mob rule. You aren't judged by your neighbors anymore. You are judged by the lowest scum from across the planet.

Remember that loser in highschool whose opinion meant nothing to anyone? Now all the losers from every highschool have a way to team up and force their beliefs on soceity.

To a person in the 1950s, we are living in a dystopia RIGHT NOW.
