So what's funny is that right now I'm sort of an agnostic. I'm really undecided on the whole Christianity thing. But if I am ever told I have to renounce Jesus Christ to get some benefit, or they take something away from me, that's the day I officially become a Christian again, and probably join our Lord in the heavens on the same day as well.
My question would be "if you think Jesus is as much BS as Zeus, why aren't you asking me to renounce Zeus?" If you want me to renounce someone, there's obviously a reason why.
So my biggest hurdle is the fact that the translations have been done pretty abysmal. Because I speak Greek, I started reading and comparing, and there were so many discrepancies that I had to dig deeper, and I started reading some of George Lamsa's books, and it clicked in. Most of the translations were translated with ignorance. Like if you were to translate "It's raining cats and dogs" into another language, the words would made sense, but the meaning would be completely lost. Translate that into Spanish, or Greek, and native speakers will look at you weird. They understand the words, They don't understand the meaning.
My sticking point is that so far, it appears there has not been any heavenly oversight in getting that message out. We'd had to repair it ourselves as best as we can, and that's totally unfair a burden for us to have.

Same here

Honestly, I would like to dive into being a christian. I just haven't been able to do it. Just can't do for it. Maybe I'll get there one day.

This!
It is obvious even to those who do not bow the knee to Jesus Christ that He is opposed to oppression and is the one who loves mankind.
I'm hopeful I'm wrong dude, because we can definitely use that super horsepower right now.
