Really fit White buddy of mine (actually good dude.) has been trying to get in to the nypd for two years now. Passes everything but never gets “selected”. He notices a pattern but says nothing. He keeps running through their hoops. Not just physical ones. He kills every test each time.
So anyway, his huge assed unhealthy Puerto Rican girlfriend one day says. Huh... I wanna do this too. Can’t even run a flight of stairs without heavy breathing. No hoops. She’s in. He’s bummed. But he still doesn’t quite get it. Now she’s NYPD with near zero effort and he’s still trying.
