TL;DR The driver is black. Not white. He ran away when he could and used his weapon as a last resort. Clear case of self defense
That Patriot was obviously In a state of fear and panic. At the start of the video he's seen trying to run away from a mob of terrorists only to have another group of terrorists in from of him. Instead of plowing through them he stops. The first mob catches up to him. a terrorist assaults him through his car window and in self defense the driver shoots the terrorist in the shoulder. The driver then gets out of his car obviously panicked and scared brandishes his weapon causing all the other terrorist to back away. Giving him the space he needed to run to the safety of police officers who were close by.
Its blatantly obvious he had no intention on harming anyone. He could have plowed through the terrorists but stopped his car instead. The man he shot was still beside the car when the driver ran for safety. The driver could have finished him but didn't. The driver could have shot multiple terrorist but didn't.
Looks like that car was already assaulted with leaflets. Probably parked nearby the where the protests started (hence the paper) and was trying to get out of dodge.
