We all know he's 10x more likely to vote Biden now that he's dead. What is this, XiNN misinformation?!

25
Loathsome_Left 25 points ago +26 / -1

He has to vote for Biden. If he doesn't, then he "ain't black". That would make for quite a conundrum.

So here's the deal-- NUMBER ONE, you need a double barrel shotgun, come on man! I get people all the time saying you need a fully semi-automatic pistol, that's MALARKEY! You go to the guy and say HEY FAT-- let's take this outside man, do some push-ups, then we'll see who's tougher. Number TWO-- put your record player on and listen to.. the thing, you know.. it's Joe 30330 dot com and.. number FOU-- number, I mean FIVE-- gun rights are NOT your rights, me and my good friend Barack America worked hard on this and Corn Pop was a bad dude but he helped out too. The kids will thank you for it, they love the cockroaches and used to play with my leg hairs when they'd sit on my lap, it was like I was Sandy Claws at Christmas, the blonde leg hai-- my times up. Wait why am I stopping? So if you don't like it, go vote for the other Biden. I don't work for you, got it? My times up.

Agreed. Also, a heart attack feels like your chest is being squeezed in a vice and you can't breath.

Source, had heart attack 12 years ago.

XxXusernameXxX 15 points ago +16 / -1

Think it was the speedball 2.0 that got him. Meth is pretty heart unfriendly by itself. Combining it with enough fent to take down a circus elephant isn't really a sustainable life path. Maybe junkies will rename it the floydball to honor the fallen for his contributions to society.

19
jamesfinmadison 19 points ago +20 / -1

😆 It really does change everything. Dispassionately using a knee press on a wacked out druggie who may simply be coming down off a trip is different then killing him with blood cut off and asphyxiation.

Wouldn't a blood cut off cause other tell tale signs, like brain injury or vessels in the eyes, something a fentanyl heart failure alone wouldn't show?

I'm not pro knee btw, I hate the use of it, but being honest and not emotional about what we saw and what evidence shows is important.

I still think it's an FBI deep state hoax actually, but since we have to choose between only door 1 (death by neck pressure) or door 2 (death by fentanyl) and no door 3 (fake death staged by two FBI assets involved with money laundering for the feds), I might as well ask.

8
NormaJeanRocks 8 points ago +9 / -1

I'm not pro knee either, but I cant see how having his knee on the back of his neck killed him. It didnt cut off his airway obviously because he was screaming, and it couldnt have cut off blood flow because the carotid arteries are in the front of your neck and they would both need to be blocked for him do die that way. Doesn't add up

5
Megascandal 5 points ago +5 / -0

I don't think it will count as murder in court, because it was likely the fetanyl that killed him. That said, I think either involuntary manslaughter or criminal negligence will/should apply.

The use of a knee on the back of the neck might be effective in restraining people, but I think it leaves a terrible impression on the normal people. More importantly I think it makes it harder for the cops to ascertain if the guy they are arresting is having a medical emergency.

I think situations like George Floyd are extremely rare, but I'm of the strong opinion that once an arrest is made cops have a responsibility for the immediate health of those they arrest. Especially in possible drug cases, it'd be the difference of the cops tried to save, vs getting blamed entirely for the death of the suspect.

3
jamesfinmadison 3 points ago +4 / -1

But if his actions did not cause Floyd's death, just the drugs and his heart, involuntary manslaughter is simply not applicable. We might as well charge the police force as they have the policy allowing the use of the move.

3
Slowsuby 3 points ago +4 / -1

I was watching an episode of cops from a few seasons back and they used that exact same knee to the back on some guy. Seems like pretty standard procedure. Something fucky is going on.

-1
eatenbyagrue -1 points ago +2 / -3

You deduce that because you have seen it once before it is a standard procedure and is therefore proper? Does using your bodyweight to compress someone's neck seem like a wise thing to do?

0
krzyzowiec 0 points ago +1 / -1

You don’t use your bodyweight. Chauvin didn’t, because if he did Floyd would have died a lot faster and you’d see the damage to his throat.

It is standard procedure and quite common. We know this because it was listed as a non-deadly restraint option in the Minneapolis PD guidelines.

-1
eatenbyagrue -1 points ago +2 / -3

I suspect there is more context to the procedure. Duration and monitoring of subject are probably pretty important. Here, it was applied for a pretty long time, and the police seemed to not care at all about Floyd's condition.

2
jamesfinmadison 2 points ago +2 / -0

They called an ambulance. Did they call it immediatly or after they checked and found he died (I forget)? I think they called before he died. This would explain the non emergency code they used.

I think we only have the benefit of assuming they didn't care because you already know what the outcome will be before the video starts. We want to believe they didn't care, were heartless. I think they should have rendered CPR immediatly, but is that the protocol when an ambulance is on the way?

One officer suggested removing the knee. Did he think it was causing undue duress while Chauvin simply felt the guy could be faking and waiting to try and roll out? Did he simply keep the knee on after death in the hope no one I'm the street would realize what happened?

So many questions, some my own fault for not reading many sources, but I honestly think we have emotional reactions and then we reverse engineer the facts to fit our desired emotional belief in many cases. If I put myself in the cops shoes and take it minute by minute as if I don't know what the outcome will be, I can see myself flipping a coin between a knee hold I could control with light pressure and waiting for an ambulance, and simply removing it.

That said, we should just remove knee on neck holds everywhere as no one can ever tell just how much pressure is applied from video, and cops can abuse it I'm sure.

Found a shill! eatenbyagrue is new and here to stir

11
DeplorableCentipede 11 points ago +11 / -0

Yup. It might sound far-fetched that the guy happened to have a heart attack as he was being detained by the police, but it was a high-stress situation, and thousands of drugies get arrested by the police each day, so one of them is bound to get a heart attack as they're getting arrested.

-9
Colonel_Chestbridge -9 points ago +5 / -14

It’s been confirmed that the completely unnecessary neck compression played a direct role in his death. And either way, it doesn’t excuse the cop having his knee on an unresponsive dudes neck for over 4 minutes.

here's a sauce from 2007. pressing on the carotid artery area can cause heart slowage and stoppage. there's no question that this would contribute to a heart attack

jamesfinmadison 0 points ago +1 / -1

Exactly. I have mixed feelings on how much I trust the coroner report since the gov forced county DA to bring charges by putting Ellison in charge.

I also want to know, if the policy is every cop should be expected to assume a lethal fentanyl/meth combo is gonna kill a persons heart, and what the manner is to determine that if not.

They should just ban the move, but since they don't, how is it fair to drop charges on police for holding 4 minutes versus 8 minutes if the move is deemed ok?

0
Colonel_Chestbridge 0 points ago +1 / -1

Because the move is only okay to gain control of someone who is actively resisting. It is not something to be used for an extended period of time, nor is it a preventative measure. He was not resisting, and the officers had complete control for the entire 8 minutes. Especially after he lost consciousness.

If they had been following the already existing guidelines, this wouldn’t have happened.

-2
eatenbyagrue -2 points ago +1 / -3

During trial medical experts will be called to give opinions on this issue based on the medical evidence we have available about the incident. We do not have live video imaging of his body during the incident - not sure if that is the only level of proof you would accept.

Right now though, it looks pretty bad. The guy did die after being restrained this way. And he did call out that he could not breathe. Chauvin could have released the pressure by switching to a less stressful hold, but did not. Not sure why he did not let up after the guy wasn't even moving for a few minutes.

What do you even get out of defending Chauvin's behavior? Imagine you are arrested one day. Is this the way you want to be held down?

Except carotid arteries are near the front, not the sides. You’re not going to block someone’s carotid arteries with a knee.

0
Colonel_Chestbridge 0 points ago +4 / -4

The autopsy from the Floyd family ruled it a homicide and claims he died from asphyxiation. But some people are skeptical of bias in that one, and are pointing to the results of the preliminary autopsy. OK, fair enough.

The preliminary autopsy showed he had a lot of drugs in his system, and he was COVID-positive. But this report still ruled the death a homicide and listed the cause as complications from the neck compression. Here is the report

But again, it doesn’t really matter whether his death was directly caused by the officer or not. There’s no reason his knee should have been on an unresponsive persons neck for over 4 minutes, and if it didn’t kill him directly, it very well could have. That’s cowardly behavior that shouldn’t be anywhere near a police department. And completely improper use of the restraint even by their own departments standards.

4
deleted 4 points ago +4 / -0

Colonel_Chestbridge 0 points ago +2 / -2

I agree with that. How he died does matter from a legal standpoint, and the cop should get the appropriate charges. I’ve just seen quite a few people on here outright defend the cops actions, and want to make sure people don’t think those two things are mutually exclusive.

1
krzyzowiec 1 point ago +2 / -1

There’s no reason his knee should have been on an unresponsive persons neck for over 4 minutes

The time is irrelevant. Either the force was excessive, or it wasn’t. If it wasn’t, then he could have sat there for thirty minutes and it wouldn’t matter.

And completely improper use of the restraint even by their own departments standards.

Based on what? I read their standards.

0
Colonel_Chestbridge 0 points ago +1 / -1

It was excessive. And the neck restraints are only supposed to be used to gain control of the detainee, on people who are actively resisting. Which he was not at any point in the 9 minute video. They had control the entire time, so it never should have been used in the first place. It is not a preventative measure, and are not supposed to be used for extended periods of time. Because it is potentially deadly. It is not even supposed to be used on people who are passively resisting, so in no way was this acceptable. The fact that he continued to do this after the dude was unresponsive for 4 minutes just makes it that much worse.

1
krzyzowiec 1 point ago +2 / -1

He was resisting. There are actually two videos of it. Here's one of them.

So, what do people think about the autopsy by the Epstein coroner? Did he even do drug screening tests, or is he saying they found none because they didn't even look?

Paid coroners are paid. Not sure I believe he's any kind of white hat just because he did Epstein's.

1
jamesfinmadison 1 point ago +2 / -1

Because Barr is deep state and the DOJ CRD are hard core race radicals who remained amazingly quiet for some reason, that's why.

Notice the left did not demand a CRD case get opened? They don't want to look at anything because they know the closer it gets looked at, the worse it looks for them, and perhaps the worse for the FBI and the LLC that employed both men.

1

Also, I know that some of the people on our side think he's actually alive or the circumstances point to this being more of a cop putting a hit out on someone than just a random citizen being murdered.

That being said, has ANYONE seen the photos of the coffin they've been using at the memorial? Floyd was 6'6" and it sure doesn't seem like the coffin that has been on display is big enough for him...

What does fentanyl have to do with anything?

1
jamesfinmadison 1 point ago +2 / -1

Floyd autopsy showed fentanyl and meth in blood tests. 7mL fentanyl is fatal level. He had 11mL, 4 points over start of fatal level. Fentanyl attacks the respiratory center of the brain. His declared statements of being unable to breathe is likely to be a result of the fentanyl kicking in, bad timing. Or fake report made for FBI deep state asset Chauvin. This is all coming down to competing autopsy reports, evidence (as it should).

No 3rd party DOJ coroner report as tie breaker will be a problem. I assume at 12M so far in gofundme, his family is probably happy to let deep state over charge him with M2, then they all reap a second windfall when "not guilty" verdict happens due to no ability to prove M2 by that standard of law requirement.

3
HongKongFluey 3 points ago +4 / -1

Are you suggesting the fentanyl just happened to "kick in" at the same time that cop drove his knee into his neck for 9 minutes? That's a leap and a half bruh. Trump has had nothing but kind words for the guy and from what I've read none of the autopsy reports list that as a cause of death. It's this kind of weird shit that's driving the moderate vote away not to mention the sane vote. They need to make this site login only cause posts like these are being shared with voters in the burbs as an example of how MAGA has gone looney tunes. After we win the election let it fly but we need to bring more people on board now more than ever.

2
jamesfinmadison 2 points ago +3 / -1

So what I'm saying is he could have just taken the fentanyl and meth combo, outside, in his car, in an alley anywhere, yes.

Then he starts trying to buy shit with the bills. Cops come.

The engagement escalates his heart rate at the same time as the fentanyl is kicking in, attacking his respiratory control portion of his brain.

This is actually the combination, with the heart condition, that IS JOINTLY ATTRIBUTED TO HIS DEATH IN THE AUTOPSY REPORT.

So, just because you don't like or can't stand to consider this after being emotionally invested in your initial idea, doesn't make me a shill or troll. People die like this.

The street cigarette seller died from a heart attack, just from the stress of his arrest and his own weight.
