foster parent here. about half of all social workers ive worked with are really good. the next 40% quit the job. 10% not enough to info tell. threads like this made me dread becoming a foster parent but my wife kept asking me to try. it has been great through and through. if you think kids with homeless drugged out / repeat offender / low iq (like 60-70) birth parents should have to suffer through that youre wrong. everyone talking about kids getting ripped from their good families... ive heard the same horror stories as you but everything i have SEEN and KNOW is the system and courts try their hardest to keep families together. (this is where the most HARM i have seen occurs-- when families are reunited too soon / too mich benefit of the doubt)
