Truth is even malpractice lawyers agree that many of those numbers are inflated by things like patients having an unanticipated reaction to a medicine and similar things that are not true “errors” but just counted as such. True errors resulting in death are more in the 50k/year range in the USA. Still a lot despite everything we do to try and prevent them.

The idea of abolishing police departments due to 9 unarmed blacks being shot by police in a given year is as ludicrous as shutting down all health care because of a rare mistake.
