Several people I know had in January or February of 2020 what they thought at the time was a cold or seasonal flu, but later realized it may have been Covid-19. It was almost certainly going around in the US months before anyone was talking about it. If China hadn't been scummy and kept quiet about it, we could have put preventative measures in place much earlier. China is like the person who clogs the toilet and leaves it like that and pretends they don't know anything.
