Pretty scary how effective the psychological reward system in these games are. It inevitably spills over into many peoples impulse decision making.

What's worse is that this toxic monetization model is typically found in scammy low-quality games from Asia - all of that amounts to an outflow of money. IMO, the Trump admin should look into throwing tariffs on foreign gacha games to discourage (and hopefully bankrupt) the fraudulent business model. If it doesn't, more tax dollars for the U.S. deducted from foreign pockets. Win.

It's more a way to get people with gaming addictions to put money into a virtual slot machine they cant actually win anything of value from than to romanticize looting. That's more a function of open world action games or RPGs, but I appreciate you putting some thought into how the gaming industry pushes bad habits onto people.
