It’s almost as if intentionally destabilizing urban areas renews the cycle of urban development & real estate valuation. Who would benefit ???

Many of you probably don't know this. Damages caused by riots and/or civil commotion is NOT covered under most policies. Most of these businesses that were looted or burned will not be covered.

But yea - dangerous areas definitely raise the liability risk, especially for economically poor areas. There are more injury claims. More slip/fall accidents. More fraud. etc..

I thought that was the case. They will get out the state anyway. I have had plenty of problems placing risks when coverages excluded. Judges may order claims covered anyway. Juries def will.

Yes. That is exactly what they did after Hurricane Katrina. Insurance companies are not stupid. They factor all this into the premiums when they write insurance.
