Just another gorgeous place with good people for liberals and lefties alike to ruin. California is such a damn tragedy. The northern part of the state sounds like my cup of tea, but I couldn't stomach dealing with California governance. I deal with enough of their bullshit living in Oregon. I've never lived in a red state before, but I think it's gonna be time soon. I'll be happy to contribute my votes (and my ammo!).
