I read somewhere that in the police report (can't find it now), they noticed he was in distress and needed medical attention. Maybe they got him back out of the car when they called for an ambulance? Or did they call for the ambulance after he was unresponsive outside the car? Hopefully that information will come out if it hasn't already.
I've seen the part where they finally get him into the car and shut the door... soooooo, where's the part where he somehow gets back out of the car?
