I myself went through that phase, but there was no social media to exacerbate it. Once you have kids and have actually had to work for a living it quickly dies.

The amount of ignorance i see in these kids, and myself at that age is disturbing. Im mid 30s and my wonderful gf is about to turn 25, and it blows my mind the difference in our level of personal responsibility. As the saying goes if your not a liberal at 20 you have no heart....if your not a conservative at 35/40 you have no brain.
It seems to me that our conciousness is constantly running various itterations of that calculate in a way our reality, based on input from senses, memory, logic and instinct. When i was young my mind just had not ran enough iterations of this calculation to come up with a suitable reality, so my mind would use emotions to fill in the blanks and get a functional outcome so i could make it to the next calculation. Im sorry i know this sounds kinda nutty but hopefully some will get it.
I do agree in some ways. This sounds bad, but i dont think kids are beat enough these days. I dont mean violence against children....more corporal punishment. Theyre unappreciative assholes.

Parents too are to blame. Coddle your kids after college and you wind up w WEAK children who never grow up!
