I don’t think that works. It’s in one ear and out the other with them because they think they own that word.

Compare that to NPCs. That meme is still going strong, and it drives them nuts. They probably dislike it so much that a lot of them research it and figure out what makes someone an NPC just out of spite. Even though they know this is a right wing meme and they are taking in our world view by reading about it.
